A Heart is come to be a universal symbol around the world, to equate with warmth & caring. At One Heart One Child, we want our support staff and our benefactors to share their hearts with children around the world that have faced devastating hardships in their lives.
The primary goal of One Heart One Child is to support children who have suffered from a tragic event such as last year’s northern Japan devastating earthquake, tsunami, and resulting nuclear reactor problem in Fukushima. It is in this particular disaster that we are initially focused.
In the case of the Japanese 9.0 Earthquake & resulting Tsunamei alone, even after more than year and half, many children have lost loved ones, are still not able to go back their town and their homes, and are continuing to be unable to return to any sense of their regular life.
People naturally get tired from living in a situation where they have been evacuated not only from their homes, but from their everyday lives. Many have lost even more, such as their loved ones and support structure. And even in the situations where family members have survived this tragedy, some of the families are not able to live together because of their financial situation and the environment of their area.
